About Active Ability

Active Ability delivers mobile, evidence-based allied health services to people with disability across Sydney, the Central Coast, Wollongong, and Canberra. As an NDIS-registered provider, we bring compassionate, expert care directly to clients in their homes and communities. With over 12 years experience supporting the disability community, we specialise in supporting people with intellectual disability, autism, neurological conditions, and complex psychosocial disability. Our purpose is to empower the disability community by combining personalised therapy plans with a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach grounded in best practice.

About the Role

We are seeking a mobile Occupational Therapist to deliver high-quality NDIS-funded occupational therapy services in Sydney, local to their home area. You will be provided with a company car.

In this role, you will:

- Assess functional capacity and daily living skills and develop tailored intervention plans.

- Provide face-to-face OT support—at home and in the community

- Implement evidence-based therapies for NDIS participants and their support team

- Produce functional capacity assessments and end of intervention reports

- Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues (e.g., physios, speech pathologists, dietitians, exercise physiologists) to design and deliver integrated care.

Mandatory Requirements

Your application must clearly show the following:

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
* Current AHPRA registration

* Current Occupational Therapy Board of Australia registration

* Minimum 2 years' post-graduate experience providing OT services
* Demonstrated experience conducting assessments and delivering OT interventions for people with disability, including those with intellectual disability, neurological conditions, autism, or psychosocial disability.
* Proven skill in producing professional, NDIS-compliant reports and treatment plans.
* Ability to travel independently across some areas of Sydney, and deliver services outside of a fixed clinic schedule.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective liaison with clients, carers, families, support coordinators, and multidisciplinary team members.

Desirable Requirements

These attributes would strengthen your application:

* Experience providing OT services in community settings.
* Familiarity with NDIS processes, including report submission for plan reviews

* Experience in paediatric occupational therapy, providing ongoing therapy.

* A background in working with complex needs, sensory processing, motor skill development, or psychosocial interventions.
