Job Title: Public Areas / Guest Services Attendant
Department: Housekeeping
Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor
Job Summary:
We are looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Public Areas Attendant to join our guest service team. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of all public spaces in our hotel and resort — including lobbies, restrooms, hallways, elevators, and entrances — and ensuring they are always clean and comfortable for guest-use. You'll also assist with guest needs and requests using our digital service management app, HotSOS, to provide timely and professional service that enhances the guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of ALL hotel public areas, including (though not limited to):
2. Lobby, front desk area, library, game room, gym, conference rooms, guest corridors, elevators, restrooms, stairwells, and entrances
3. Restock and refresh supplies in public restrooms (e.g., soap, paper towels, toilet paper, feminine hygiene products)
4. Restock pool / hot tub towels
5. Restock F&B department storage with fresh napkins, table cloths, etc
6. Assist the Events / F&B team with set-up or disassembly of event spaces (for Weddings, Conferences, Reunions, etc)
7. Dust, polish, mop, vacuum, and clean surfaces, furnishings, and high-touch points
8. Proactively monitor and respond to guest service requests using HotSOS
9. Regularly check the app for new tasks or guest requests
10. Complete requests in a timely manner and update status in the app
11. Greet and assist guests in a friendly, helpful, and professional manner
12. Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or unusual situations promptly
13. Follow all safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards set by the hotel
* Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used correctly and stored properly
Qualifications
Qualifications & Skills:
14. (Preferred) Prior experience in housekeeping, janitorial work, or hotel operations
15. Basic understanding of mobile apps; ability to navigate and use HotSOS for task management (training provided)
16. Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
17. Friendly, guest-first attitude with a helpful and courteous approach
18. Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently
19. Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift
* Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
