We're looking for a full-time Prep Chef / Kitchen Hand to join our small, close-knit team at Ra Restaurant & Bar in Sunshine Beach.
You'll support our chefs with day-to-day prep and keep the kitchen running smoothly during busy service.
Some previous kitchen experience is required – But we'll teach you everything you need to know.
All we ask is that you bring a good attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn.
This is a permanent position with a minimum working period of 3 months.
What you'll be doing
Preparing and portioning ingredients for our chefs
Assisting with basic food prep (chopping, slicing, dicing, batching sauces, etc.)
Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and well-stocked
Washing dishes and maintaining a tidy work area
Cleaning equipment, benches and floors to a high standard
Following all food safety and hygiene procedures
Supporting the kitchen team wherever needed during service
About you
A strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Good attention to detail and pride in doing things properly
Reliable, punctual and comfortable working evenings and weekends
Positive, team-focused attitude
Understanding of food safety and hygiene is a bonus (training provided)
Full work rights in Australia and able to commit to at least 3 months
