Role
Fawkner Leisure Centre is looking for energetic, confident and motivated people to join our Swim School team. The Swim School Instructor delivers swimming lessons to a wide variety of ages and abilities. Successful applicants will be effective communicators who demonstrate strong attention to detail.
Key responsibilities include:
* Deliver swimming lessons to students of all ages and abilities
* Ensure safety and quality of instruction in the pool environment
* Work mornings, evenings, and weekends to deliver classes, including school groups during school hours
* Maintain detailed records and communicate with parents and staff as required
Required qualifications and attributes:
* Current First Aid (Level 2) & current CPR Certificate
* Working With Children Check (or equivalent) & National Police Check
* Current AUSTSWIM Certificate or equivalent
* Excellent verbal communication skills
* Energetic, innovative, decisive teaching style
* Strong time management, organisational skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
* Empathetic to the needs of classes, ability to work during flexible hours
