THE OPPORTUNITY
PYBAR Mining Services is seeking an experienced and high-performing Senior Recruiter to lead and deliver end-to-end recruitment across all our national mining projects.
This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment, can confidently partner with senior leaders, and brings strong expertise in sourcing and selection for technical and blue-collar mining roles.
You will play a critical role in shaping our workforce capability, managing recruitment campaigns, and coordinating full project mobilisations to ensure our sites are resourced safely, efficiently, and on time.
This hybrid role can be based either in Brisbane, QLD or Orange NSW.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead end-to-end recruitment for a diverse portfolio of blue-collar, technical, and professional mining roles.
Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and site leaders, providing strategic advice on sourcing, labour market trends, and workforce planning.
Plan and deliver high-volume recruitment campaigns for new or expanding projects.
Write job advertisements to attract strong talent.
Conduct screening, shortlisting, and behavioural interviews.
Manage and facilitate interview processes with hiring managers and project leaders.
Manage the coordinator of all pre-employment checks including medicals, references, police checks, VOCs, and qualifications.
Build and proactively manage talent pipelines for future project ramp-ups.
Provide recruitment reporting, insights, and recommendations to support operational decision-making.
Drive continuous improvement across recruitment processes and candidate experience.
Lead full project mobilisation activities, including:
Coordinating large-scale onboarding for new workforces
Scheduling medicals, inductions, and site access requirements
Managing mobilisation timelines and readiness plans
Ensuring compliance with client and site-specific requirements
Partnering with site leadership to forecast and meet labour demand
ABOUT YOU
You will bring:
5+ years' experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, ideally within mining, construction, heavy industrial, or other high-volume environments.
Demonstrated experience delivering and coordinating large-scale project mobilisations, including full workforce ramp-ups.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence to influence and partner with senior operational leaders.
Proven ability to work autonomously, manage shifting priorities, and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Experience planning and executing high-volume recruitment campaigns.
High-level communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
