Infrastructure Planning and Engineering Manager

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping infrastructure that supports community safety, development, and sustainability. This involves overseeing strategic stormwater and floodplain management, third-party road access coordination, and development engineering services. The Infrastructure Planning and Engineering Manager will ensure seamless alignment of infrastructure planning and regulatory oversight with environmental resilience and urban growth.

This leadership role requires championing innovative engineering approaches and robust compliance frameworks to deliver sustainable urban outcomes. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing engineering teams, as well as demonstrating financial management, procurement, contract, and budgetary experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for engaging effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

A key aspect of this role is understanding and commitment to equity and diversity principles, work health and safety, ethical practice, and acting with probity at all times. The successful candidate will also require a current NSW Class C Driver's Licence.


Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee strategic stormwater and floodplain management, third-party road access coordination, and development engineering services
* Ensure alignment of infrastructure planning and regulatory oversight with environmental resilience and urban growth
* Lead and manage engineering teams, promoting innovation and collaboration
* Demonstrate financial management, procurement, contract, and budgetary experience
* Engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, fostering strong relationships


Requirements:

* Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent recognised by Engineers Australia
* Significant experience in leading and managing engineering teams
* Demonstrated financial management, procurement, contract, and budgetary experience
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Understanding of or experience with the Australian Business Excellence framework
* Current NSW Class C Driver's Licence


Desirable Qualifications:

* Accreditation as a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or equivalent
* Experience in Prince 2 project management methodology
