We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker professionals to provide 24/7 assistance and support to our client with dementia in Ashmore QLD.
Responsibilities:
* Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
* Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
* Help clients with mobility and transportation needs
* Administer medication and monitor health conditions
* Assist with meal preparation and household tasks
* Develop and implement individualized care plans
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure the best possible care for clients
* Maintain accurate records and documentation
About you:
* Demonstrated solid experience in supporting clients with dementia in either disability and/or aged care settings
* Must be available to work across a rotating roster including weekdays, sleepovers and weekend shifts
* Ability to manage difficult situations and behaviours and be able to de-escalate these situations in a therapeutic way
Requirements:
* Minimum nationally accredited completion of Certificate III in relevant Disability or Community Service field
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Employee Working with Children Check
* A valid Australian driver’s license with a reliable and comprehensively insured car
* Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
* Must be willing to obtain a new National Police Check
