Our client is a highly regarded, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy with a strong national footprint and international reach. Renowned for delivering high-quality outcomes across civil and structural engineering, they are continuing to invest in their Flood & Water capability and are now seeking an Associate or Associate Director to join their Sydney team.
This is a genuine leadership opportunity for an experienced flood or water engineer looking to take ownership of complex projects, influence strategy, and help shape the future direction of a growing team.
The Role In this senior position, you will lead projects from concept through to delivery, balancing technical excellence with commercial and client outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading the design and delivery of flood and water engineering projects across urban and infrastructure sectors
* Taking responsibility for project governance, including budgets, resourcing, contracts, and timelines
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships, with a focus on repeat business
* Mentoring and developing junior and mid-level engineers
* Contributing to bids, tenders, and broader strategic planning within the flood and water discipline
About You You will be a confident, commercially minded leader with:
* A degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related discipline)
* CPEng accreditation
* 10+ years’ experience in an Australian engineering consultancy environment
* Proven experience delivering complex flood or water infrastructure projects
* Strong client-facing capability and sound commercial judgement
