The CEO will work closely with the Board, staff, volunteers, government, education and industry stakeholders to modernise and strengthen AMT’s impact, accessibility and long-term sustainability.
The Board sees the role as a chance to shape the future of mathematics engagement, advocacy and talent development in Australia, not merely an operational position.
In the current inflection point, the next CEO can evolve AMT from a highly respected mathematics organisation into a more visible national voice in education, mathematical capability and problem‑solving.

* Expand accessibility and participation across diverse student cohorts
* Strengthen partnerships, advocacy and national influence
* Navigating innovation and emerging opportunities across education and technology
What You’ll Need
* Demonstrated executive leadership experience within a complex stakeholder environment
* Strong relationship‑building and influencing capability
* The ability to lead through change while maintaining trust and organisational cohesion
* Commercial and strategic acumen
* Experience working with young people or delivering programs connected to education, student wellbeing or youth development
* Experience working within values‑driven or mission‑led organisations
* Appreciation for the role mathematics plays in education, innovation and society
* Background connected to mathematics, STEM, education, or intellectually driven communities will be highly regarded
