**The role**:
The Consultant, Deakin Transformation is a key role within the university's transformation efforts, primarily focused on the implementation and embedding of change programs. This position supports the execution of a broad range of organisational change initiatives, including cultural, technological, and workforce transformation. Working in close collaboration with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, the Consultant will ensure that transformation initiatives are effectively implemented, integrated, and sustained across the university. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Deakin Transformation, this role is integral in driving the seamless delivery of change and supporting the university's long-term transformation goals.

**As a consultant, you will**:

- Support the implementation of organisational change initiatives, ensuring they are integrated smoothly and effectively across the university, with a focus on embedding changes related to culture, technology, and workforce.
- Partner with People & Culture to facilitate workshops, meetings, and decision-making sessions aimed at embedding new processes, behaviours, and ways of working. Support leaders in aligning priorities and integrating current cultures within their teams.
- Support leaders by coaching them on how to manage and embed change effectively. Mentor team members and foster a culture of continuous learning in change management.
- Lead the design of the yearly OUR Services Survey in consultation with an external vendor. Support the analysis of results, facilitate workshops focused on results and action planning, and work with stakeholders to track progress on action plans to ensure continuous improvement.
- Track the delivery and impact of transformation initiatives. Monitor progress, identify barriers, and adjust strategies as needed to ensure successful implementation.
- Work within a networked model, supporting collaboration across People & Culture, Infrastructure & Digital, Finance & Assurance and Customer Experience teams. Ensure alignment in the implementation of change programs and act as a key point of contact for these teams.
- Take ownership of critical administrative responsibilities related to change initiatives, including maintaining accurate data for decision making.

**To be successful, you'll have**:

- Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
- Experience as a business consultant or working as a specialist in a business field
- Experience in organisational change and transformation, with a focus on supporting the implementation and embedding of change initiatives, particularly in cultural, capability, technological, and workforce contexts.
- Strong administrative and data management skills, including experience handling sensitive data, creating accurate records, and managing information critical to workforce planning and change projects.
- Strong facilitation skills, with experience supporting workshops, meetings, and collaborative discussions involving senior leaders.
- Experience working in a dynamic, collaborative environment, balancing competing priorities and supporting others to achieve shared goals.
- Working with Children's Check (Employee) or willing to obtain
