Job Description
The Brown and Hurley Group are growing fast and want you to be part of our team in Caboolture. You will undertake diagnostics, maintenance, services, repairs, rebuilds and breakdowns on a range of Kenworth and DAF trucks.

The Brown and Hurley Group is the winner of many industry awards and a leading supplier to Australia's Road Transport and Agricultural Industry. We are searching for one day shift mechanic - 7:00am to 3:21pm and one night shift mechanic - 12:01pm to 8:20pm.
What you'll be doing:
* Diagnose faults
* Carry out service, maintenance, repair and rebuild work (to your own capability)
* Check own work to ensure it is carried out to the manufacturers' requirements
* Help train apprentices and assist other workshop personnel
* Complete job cards correctly
* Participate in the on-call roster and attend offsite breakdowns
* Provide exceptional and professional customer service
About you:
* Heavy vehicle mechanic qualification or any other mechanic qualification
* Works safely, team player, excellent communicator and problem-solver
* HR and forklift licence (desirable)
* Kenworth or DAF experience (desirable)
We also welcome second to fourth year mechanic apprentices and overseas and interstate truck mechanics.

Desired Skills and Experience
* Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
* Certificate III in Agricultural Mechanical Technology
* Certificate III in Fixed and Mobile Plant Mechanic
* Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control
* Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology
* Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade
* HR license
* Valid driver's licence (essential)
* Post trade heavy vehicle or agricultural mechanical knowledge and experience
* Experience with Kenworth, DAF, Case IH or New Holland brands (preferred)
* Experience working with vehicles, machinery, or equipment in a service environment (dealership experience highly regarded)
* OEM or specialist equipment training (highly regarded)
* Experience using diagnostic software and electronic systems advantageous
* Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical diagnostic skills
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and service bulletins
* High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
* Professional communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to manage time efficiently and work independently when required
