As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating the delivery of exceptional patient care. You will assist in managing both human and physical resources, supervising Registered and Enrolled Nurses and providing guidance to nursing students. The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Demonstrated advanced nursing practice within the Medical Ward setting.
* Strong planning, coordination, and decision-making skills tailored to the Medical Ward.
* Experience in Quality Improvement activities relevant to the Medical Ward environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proven team leadership capabilities and effective membership skills.
* Current knowledge of legislative obligations affecting employment and service delivery, including Equal Employment Opportunity and Work Health and Safety.
* A post-graduate qualification relevant to the Medical Ward or Management (desirable).
Key Responsibilities Of The Role
* Plan, facilitate, and evaluate the delivery of patient care on the ward.
* Maintain safety in nursing practice and the overall working environment.
* Coordinate a multidisciplinary approach to client care, ensuring effective communication among team members.
* Lead and supervise nursing staff, acting as a role model within the team.
* Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery.
* Relieve the Clinical Nurse Manager as required and assist with rostering and equipment management.

The Goldfields region of the WA Country Health Service covers the Goldfields-Esperance Region of Western Australia. The region is located in the south eastern corner of Western Australia and covers 770,488 sq km (including offshore islands). The WA Country Health Service Goldfields consists of two main health campuses located in Kalgoorlie & Esperance, and three smaller hospitals located in Laverton, Leonora, and Norseman. The Goldfields is a culturally rich region with a number of Aboriginal communities spread out across the region, 16 distinct Aboriginal language groups and an Aboriginal population that represents 12.3 per cent of our total population, with 1 in 10 people, on average, identifying as Aboriginal – this in comparison to the state average of 3.6 per cent.
