Role Overview
A prominent player in the travel industry is seeking an Assistant Team Leader to bolster their Transactional Finance operations. This role is pivotal in supporting financial models, overseeing credit facilities, and assisting the Transactional Finance Team Leader across various business facets. You'll liaise with ticketing support teams, suppliers, agents, and both internal and offshore stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Participate in system upgrades, project testing, and migrations.
• Engage in ad-hoc projects to enhance team processes and controls.
• Conduct financial and operational analyses to support business decisions.
• Investigate and implement new processes, policies, and technologies.
• Assist with half-year and full-year audits.
• Manage month-end close and prepare financial reporting requirements.
• Train new staff members.
• Support BSP reconciliations, debtor & creditor weekly reporting, and bank reconciliations.
• Assist with EOFY activities and track/report team KPIs.
• Provide backup for RCTI commission payments to advisors.
• Report PTR to Treasury.
• Identify and mitigate potential business risks.
• Handle bank approvals and payment gate approvals.
Ideal Candidate Profile
• Proven experience in accounting and finance; travel industry experience is highly regarded.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Methodical approach with consistent adherence to procedures.
• Positive attitude with a helpful approach.
• Initiative-driven and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
• Familiarity with Business Central, Tramada, Microsoft 365, and T-office is desirable.
