What's the role?
Global Transaction Services (GTS) deliver innovative and reliable transaction banking solutions across domestic and international markets, while also managing the payment infrastructure for the entire Westpac Group. In this role, you'll lead the Business Controls & Monitoring (BCM) Advisory function for Global Transaction Services, guiding a high-performing team to deliver best-in-class risk management. From control uplift to incident remediation, you'll shape how risk is understood, owned, and embedded across the business. You'll partner with senior leaders, advise on strategic initiatives, and ensure our frameworks not only meet regulatory standards… they set the benchmark. This is a leadership role with real impact, where your expertise will drive business resilience, innovation, and continuous improvement.
What do I need?
To find success in this role you'll need:
* Extensive experience in risk management, compliance, and control frameworks within complex environments, preferably within payments and transactional banking.
* Proven leadership capability, with a track record of building and inspiring high-performing teams.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and advisory skills, with the ability to influence at GM level.
* Strategic thinking and sound judgement, with a hands-on approach to solving problems and driving outcomes.
* Demonstrated success in embedding proactive risk culture and delivering uplift across products, processes, and programs.
