Our award-winning National Landscape Architecture team has deep connections to industry and communities across all of Spiire's locations. This opportunity will play an integral role in our business as we grow our presence in Canberra and embark on exciting projects in both private and public sectors.
The Opportunity
Our Canberra Landscape Architecture Team have an exciting pipeline of complex and diverse projects and need to grow You'll be responsible for managing and delivering projects across the region, supporting the Team Lead in design direction, and contributing to the team's development through mentoring. This role will see you:
* Managing all phases of a project from master planning through to construction delivery, under the direction of the Team Lead.
* Engaging in tendering, preparation of design developments, construction documentation and site inspections
* Carrying out design of civic precincts, greenfield residential developments, commercial projects, urban renewal, parklands, infrastructure projects, and integrated water-cycle management.
* Supporting the Team Lead in tender submissions including proposal writing, fee development and managing work across the team's resources
* Collaborating with landscape architects, engineers and other professionals across the business on multidisciplinary projects
* Providing mentoring and support to junior team members
About You
A qualified and registered landscape architect, you have managed medium to large scale projects and love working within a multidisciplinary consultancy where your work is integrated with others.
You will come to us with:
* Extensive experience in large scale projects within the public realm such as subdivisions, master planned communities, playspaces, streetscapes and wetlands
* Well-developed commercial skills, including familiarity with contractual conditions and procedures, and experience taking commercial responsibility for projects
* Excellent written communication and the ability to manage complex reporting requirements
* Competence in the use of AutoCAD and other relevant software applications. Competency in Adobe Creative Suites such as InDesign will be highly regarded
* Registered, or in the process of being registered, with AILA.
