Be the welcoming face of our Mount Gambier office. Provide customer service and admin support that keeps everything running smoothly.
The Role
As our AdministrationOfficer / Receptionist, you'll be first point of contact for our clients and visitors. You’ll manage calls, appointments, and a variety of admin tasks that support a safe, organised, and compliant workplace.
This role is offered full-time, but we’re open to job-share arrangements for the right candidates—so if flexibility matters to you, let’s talk.

What You’ll Do
o Welcome & Assist – Greet clients and visitors with warmth and respect.
o Handle Calls & Enquiries – Answer phones, direct calls, and respond to questions confidentially and professionally.
o Manage Appointments – Manage busy calendars so clients connect with the right program staff at the right time.
o Keep Records Tidy – Enter and update client details in the Penelope system and prepare letters or info packs.
o Support Finances – Process payments, manage petty cash, CabCharges and site credit card, and assist with invoice coding and reconciliation.
o Run the Office – Monitor the inbox, manage mail and deliveries, order supplies, and coordinate basic maintenance.
o First Aid – Act as site FirstAider (allowance paid).
o Admin Support – Provide adhoc admin support to managers, staff, and clients, and assist as required.
What You’ll Bring
Essential
o Valid DHS Working with Children Check
o Friendly, outgoing approach and clear, confident communication
o Strong Microsoft Office skills
o Welldeveloped timemanagement and organisational abilities
o Ability to work independently and in a diverse team
o Current Driver’s Licence
o First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain—training provided)
Desirable
o Solid admin experience with great attention to detail
o Experience in notforprofit or community services settings
o Familiarity with the Penelope clientmanagement system
o Qualification in Business Administration or similar
Special Conditions
o Occasional work outside standard hours, as required
o First Aid allowance paid per the award
