The Planning team is driven, dynamic, and data-oriented. The team works closely with Company Planning to drive sales, maximise profit, and manage inventory, ensuring product ranges and marketing strategies exceed customer expectations.

Planners analyse and forecast financial and product trends, review performance, and ensure stock availability. They collaborate with brands and suppliers to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, merchandise requirements, and contracts. They are also key in company-wide projects, continuously improving processes, systems, and tools with a strong focus on efficiency and data-driven decisions.
We are currently seeking an Established Merchandise Planner to join our Sports team on a 12-month max-term contract. If you are a highly skilled planner with a passion for sports, this role is for you!
About the Role
* Communicate confidently with senior management, leveraging influence and expertise to drive department growth.
* Manage the BUB process in collaboration with Buying to meet deadlines and ensure brand strategy aligns with department goals.
* Own forecasting through the WSSI and present findings in reforecast meetings.
* Prioritize workload effectively during peak planning periods.
* Review in-season and post-season performance, making recommendations for growth or decline.
* Ensure tools and reporting are set up for data-driven decision-making by the Buying team.
* Mitigate risk by identifying problem areas and taking proactive action.
* Drive continuous improvement in processes, systems, and tools within the department.
* Contribute to the wider segment strategy with mid- to long-term planning.
* Anticipate future trends, including economic or social impacts, to guide actions.
* Work closely with Planning Managers and Buyers to maximise seasonal profit.
* Monitor all aspects of the department, addressing underperforming categories and brands while identifying opportunities to maximise KPIs.
* Propose marketing campaigns to ensure promotional activity retains margin and drives impact.
