Your new role
As the Administrative Officer, you will play an integral role in supporting the smooth operation of this Government Department. This is a frontline, patient-facing position where you will be the first point of contact for patients, clinicians and external stakeholders.
Your duties will include:
* Providing reception and administrative support to the clinical team
* Answering high volumes of incoming calls and delivering professional, compassionate customer service
* Coordinating and managing patient appointments and clinical schedules
* Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
* Preparing correspondence, reports and general administrative materials
* Liaising with medical staff, healthcare partners and referring practices
* Handling enquiries both in person and over the phone with empathy and patience
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will have:
* Proficiency and access to Sunrise EMR (essential)
* Strong administrative experience, ideally within a healthcare or clinical environment
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
* Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
Please note: to be eligible for this role, you will be required to have a record of Category B immunisations as per SA Health guidelines.
