Senior Electrical Engineer
Kwinana, WA | 12-Month Contract
TS Staffing Group is supporting a major engineering services contract at the Kwinana Energy Hub.
This is a site-based role delivering electrical engineering support across brownfield capital projects, supporting both ongoing operations and the transition to an integrated energy hub.
The Role
You will provide electrical engineering design, verification, and project support across the full asset lifecycle, working closely with multidisciplinary teams on active brownfield projects.
Key responsibilities include:
* Deliver electrical design and technical verification in line with company and regulatory standards
* Prepare and review engineering deliverables (SLDs, schematics, layouts, datasheets, specifications)
* Execute brownfield modifications including HV/LV systems, MCCs, switchgear, cabling, earthing and lighting
* Develop and coordinate protection systems and relay settings
* Support HAZID/HAZOP and safety-in-design processes
* Ensure compliance with Australian standards and hazardous area requirements
* Support procurement, construction, FAT/SAT, and commissioning activities
* Manage technical queries, scope changes, and discipline deliverables
* Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure design integrity
Project / Leadership Responsibilities
* Lead discipline engineering activities across multiple projects
* Provide technical guidance to engineers and designers
* Conduct design reviews and ensure quality and compliance
* Manage deliverables, schedules, and stakeholder interfaces
About You
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Power preferred)
* 10+ years' experience in refinery, mining, or heavy industry
* Strong background in brownfield detailed electrical design
* Experience across full project lifecycle (design through commissioning)
* Knowledge of Australian standards and hazardous area design
* Ability to manage multiple scopes within schedule and budget
Desirable:
* Hazardous Area (HA) accreditation
* TÜV Functional Safety certification
Working Arrangements
* Site-based role at Kwinana Energy Hub
* Must be located within ~1.5 hours commute
* Flexibility for occasional WFH or office-based work as agreed
