We're hiring an Account Executive in Australia to join our APAC sales team as we continue to grow. As an Account Executive, you are the key to unlocking new possibilities for our customers. You'll be at the heart of our sales process, partnering with CFOs, controllers, and finance leaders at SME, mid‐market, and enterprise organisations to show them how Traild streamlines, automates, and protects their accounts payable operations. This is a high‐impact, quota‐carrying role. You'll be a trusted advisor, a sharp closer, and a key voice shaping how we go to market across Australia and New Zealand. We're open to candidates anywhere in Australia — Melbourne‐based candidates have the bonus of joining the team in person for gatherings and events. Key Responsibilities
* Own the full sales cycle from discovery and demo through to negotiation and close.
* Generate and convert pipeline across inbound, partner, and self‐sourced channels.
* Run compelling, value‐led demos that show finance teams how Traild helps automate workflows, reduce risk, and improve control.
* Build trusted relationships with CFOs, finance leaders, and other senior stakeholders across Australia and New Zealand.
* Bring market insight back to the business by sharing customer feedback and collaborating closely with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success.
Who You Are
You're a commercially sharp closer who thrives in complex, multi‐stakeholder B2B sales. You're comfortable leading executive conversations, running strong product demos, and building credibility with finance stakeholders. You're collaborative, adaptable, and energized by the pace of a high‐growth environment.
* 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in SaaS or technology sectors.
* Proven track record of working with mid‐market and large enterprise customers, ideally with finance, CFO, or AP buyer personas.
* Strong commercial instincts: skilled in discovery, value‐selling, negotiation, and closing complex multi‐stakeholder deals.
* Excellent verbal and written communication — you can run a sharp executive conversation and a hands‐on product walkthrough with equal confidence.
* Team‐oriented mindset with a passion for collective success.
* Strong collaborator with an attitude that embraces growth, hands‐on execution, adaptability, and scale‐up spirit.
* Nice to have: Experience in fintech, payments, AP automation, spend management, or ERP‐related technology.
