We're looking for an experienced Educational Leader to join our centre and play a key role in guiding, mentoring, and uplifting practice across the service. This is a hands‐on leadership role for someone who loves being present on the floor, supporting teams in the moment, and shaping meaningful learning experiences for children.

Journey Burwood is a purpose‐built centre catering to up to 150 children aged six months to six years. It's a vibrant, high‐capacity service where meaningful learning, curiosity, and exploration are embedded into everyday practice.

About the Role
As our Educational Leader, you'll work closely with the Centre Manager to strengthen pedagogy and support educators to grow with confidence and clarity.
This is a Permanent Part‐time role, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week) and includes:
* 15 hours of program planning time off the floor, plus an additional 1 hour for every room
You'll be a visible, trusted presence in the centre – someone educators can turn to for guidance, reflection, and reassurance.
* Lead and embed high‐quality, child‐centred pedagogy aligned with the EYLF
* Mentor and coach educators to strengthen practice and confidence
* Support reflective practice, documentation, and continuous improvement
* Collaborate with Centre Leadership to guide curriculum and quality outcomes
* Build strong, respectful relationships with educators, children, and families
* Maintain high standards of health, safety, and wellbeing
* Prior experience in an Educational Leader position, 3+ years
* Hold a Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA‐recognised)
* Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and National Law
* Demonstrated ability to design and implement high‐quality educational programs
* Confident in curriculum planning, assessment, and reflective practice
* A strong communicator who enjoys coaching, mentoring, and developing others
* Hold current Asthma, Anaphylaxis, and First Aid Certificates
