HNELHD - Staff Specialist in Emergency Medicine - Armidale Rural Referral Hospital. Armidale Rural Referral Hospital is expanding its Emergency Medicine Department and is seeking to appoint an additional 2 Staff Specialists in Emergency Medicine. A dynamic management team and broader rural and regional networks provides a supportive working environment. Candidates applying via SIMG Pathway deemed Substantially Comparable to an Australian-trained specialist, with 6 months ACEM peer review are encouraged to apply, with additional HNELHD training sites available to assist in delivering the training and supervisory requirements prior to you commencing in your permanent role with Armidale Hospital.
Armidale Hospital is a ninety-nine bed facility providing a comprehensive range of services including acute medical and surgical services, obstetrics, paediatrics and a range of diagnostic and allied health services. A busy emergency department, a Level 3 Close Observation Unit, mental health unit and renal dialysis unit. The referral community of the area is 55,200.

Remuneration and Benefits
* Remuneration: 186241 - 229825
* Hours per Week: 40
* Rural Workforce Incentive Eligible: Up to $10,000 in the first 12 months PLUS up to $10,000 each year thereafter in fortnightly payments under the Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme
* Relocation Support: Up to $20,000 relocation assistance, 4 months accommodation, access to a personal settlement concierge
Role Details
Armidale Rural Referral Hospital is expanding its Emergency Medicine Department and is seeking to appoint an additional 2 Staff Specialists in Emergency Medicine. Qualifications
* A primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine, and/or overseas trained specialist pathways.
* Evidence of being a medical expert with recent and comprehensive experience in Emergency Medicine
* Evidence of being a scholar who maintains medical professional development and can assist other staff, including trainees
* Evidence of strong communication skills (oral and written) with patients, students, other health professionals and the public
* Evidence of collaboration within an interdisciplinary framework and with stakeholders in various settings
* Evidence of management capability, leadership experience, and involvement in safety and quality improvement
* Evidence of professionalism, ongoing professional development and clinical governance
* Evidence of advocacy and contribution to improving health outcomes
