About the Role
As a care worker, you will play a vital role in supporting older Australians to maintain their independence and quality of life in their own homes. You will provide personal care support, assist with daily activities, and promote dignity and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing personal care support such as showering, grooming, and personal hygiene
* Supporting clients with meal preparation, household cleaning, laundry, and ironing
* Assisting with shopping, medical appointments, and social outings
* Monitoring and reporting any changes in a client's health or behaviour, escalating concerns to ensure safety
* Delivering care in line with individual Care Plans and maintaining accurate documentation
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Current driver's licence and reliable car with comprehensive insurance
* Certificate III, IV or Diploma in Aged Care, Home Care, Disability, or related field
* Current First Aid Certificate
* Clear verbal communication skills to engage effectively with older clients
* Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with people from diverse backgrounds
* Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care
* Flexibility in hours and approach, with availability aligned to client needs
* Ability to review and accurately document care plans
