Based in Bathurst, the successful candidate will coordinate, administer and report on the BYM programs in Bathurst within the Panthers Foundation's Community Pillar, under its wider Building Young Men and Empowering Young Women program objectives.
Programs delivered include, but are not limited to; BYM mentoring program, BYM mental health programs and BYM Respectful Relationship programs.
This role is supported by funding from NSW Office of Sport and is a part-time (2 days a week) role, on a fixed term contract through to June 30, 2027.
Responsibilities
Program delivery of programs under the Building Young Man suite of programs in Bathurst
Coordination with participating schools as well as reporting on program to both partner schools and Head of Foundation & Community
Organisation of end of program celebrations and activities for Building Young Men programs
Coordination of all appropriate aspects of Building Young Men Programs in Bathurst, including but not limited to, recruitment of schools, participants and mentors, marketing materials, safeguarding, equipment, reporting and expense budgets
Ongoing review and updating of Building Young Men programs throughout the year
Supporting all other Building Young Men and Empowering Young Women team members within the Panthers Foundation
Supporting Panthers Foundation activities and initiatives at Panthers home games in Bathurst; and in Penrith when possible and where appropriate
Essential qualifications
Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in the same or a similar role/placement
Tertiary qualification in social work, youth mentoring, or other relevant area
Current, valid driver's licence
Valid, paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC)
Current Sports First Aid (or equivalent) and CPR certification
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple programs and meet deadlines
Proven communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including working with schools, community organisations, and internal teams
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to safeguarding and child safety protocols
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to complete reporting and program administration tasks efficiently
Desirable qualifications
Experience working within Rugby League, sports clubs, or community sports environments
Demonstrated experience in coordinating and delivering disability, community or school-based sports
Experience in program evaluation and/or event coordination
Familiarity with culturally inclusive practices and community engagement strategies
Additional qualifications in youth services or social work
Qualifications in sports delivery
Experience in delivering school and/or community-based/mentoring activities
Experience in program development/administration/evaluation/reporting
