An opportunity exists for a motivated and detail‑oriented Graduate Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Manager, Accounting and Tax, this role supports a wide range of accounting activities that contribute to the accuracy, compliance, and effectiveness of financial operations across Toro Australia's legal entities. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent finance or accounting graduate seeking hands‑on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.
What will you do?
* Prepare month‑end and other journals for review and approval
* Complete general ledger reconciliations in OneStream
* Assist with end‑of‑month reports and reconciliations
* Process bank statements and prepare bank reconciliations
* Conduct monthly lease certification activities
* Support material costing processes, including daily costing of new materials and ECNs
* Maintain service debtor AR accounts and trade material value
* Process customer cash discounts and rebates
* Assist in preparing balance sheet schedules for planning and projections
* Prepare schedules for fringe benefits tax, electricity and motor vehicle lease costs
* Support the preparation of income tax returns, fringe benefits tax returns and financial statements
* Provide assistance with internal and external audit requests
* Undertake other accounting duties and special projects as assigned
* Ensure compliance with relevant financial legislation, safety requirements and ethical standards
* Adhere to all WHS/OHS responsibilities, policies, procedures and safe work practices
What do you need?
* Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related discipline
* Intermediate skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
* Strong numerical, analytical and problem‑solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
* Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to changing priorities
* Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines
* A motivated and positive "team player" attitude
