The Role
Caulfield Grammar School has a proud history in APS Hockey, and we are looking to appoint a Head Coach with a strong vision to lead a progressive program and drive excellence throughout all phases of the Hockey program.
The Head Coach - Hockey will develop and implement a season plan and coaching program to support and develop the APS Hockey and specialist coaches. You will explore, present, and deliver strategies to further promote and strengthen swimming through both internal and external opportunities.
This is a 6-month opportunity starting in mid-March at our Caulfield and Wheelers Campus. Our training sessions are
Tuesdays from 11am – 4pm,
Thursdays from 3pm – 6pmall
APS Hockey fixtures on Saturday from 7am – 2pm (Exact fixture TBC).
Key Duties
Manage all aspects of the CGS APS Hockey program
Inspire our APS Hockey Community to reach their full potential by engaging and developing our dedicated team of Hockey support staff, coaches and students
Hold a vision for how to maximise the opportunity for a large multi campus school in APS Hockey across all levels
Offer a strong technical base and a willingness to educate others
Attend training sessions/camps/fixtures and complete any administrative tasks in a timely manner
Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviour
Skills And Experience
Previous experience managing a swimming program or similar environment will be highly regarded
Strong time management skills and leadership skills
Hold appropriate compliance and coaching accreditation
Ability to communicate and form strong relationships amongst the key stakeholders
Strong knowledge of Hockey technique (Teaching or Education experience is preferred)
Hold and maintain an Employment Working With Children Check
Level 1 First Aid certificate (including Anaphylaxis Management Training)
