**Job Summary**
Provide consistent and high level of customer service and a favourable projection of the Resort's superior image.
**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
Ensure the wellbeing of all guests whilst on duty and maintain the reputation of the resort through proactive thinking and actions.
Be aware of food allergies and understand all ingredients in food and beverages served at resort. Ability to recommend items that suit the specific dietary requirements of guests.
Ensure that all Food & Beverage services requested by guests are provided to the highest standards.
Ensure sufficient stocks are available on a daily basis and maintain a par-level of stock to efficiently run the outlet. Control and monitor outlet stock and conduct regular inventory of items.
To ensure that the service is at all times performed in a professional manner and to the style as specified by the Supervisor / Manager.
To be fully conversant with every menu item and to provide explanations if requested.
To communicate with other staff and departments.
To make sure that Hotel policy and the vision statement are followed and utilized at all times.
To be aware of all services offered in the Hotel.
To perform all tasks such as mise en place, cleaning, setting and other general service requirements.
To ensure that all tasks set are completed in the time allocated and to the standard set by the Hotel.
To ensure that stations are clean and clear throughout the service.
To report all comments/complaints/problems to the supervisor
To liaise with the department Supervisor / Manager to ensure that the preparations and mise en place are correct and to the standard set.
To assist other staff in ensuring the department is ready for service.
To ensure that service is discrete and efficient at all times.
Other duties as required and outlined by F&B Supervisor / Manager
Ensure your area is consistently compliant with all safety and hygiene procedures set by Food & Beverage Manager.
Ensure that operational expenses are minimised and that resources are creatively and effectively utilised to maintain favourable cost/revenue ratios.
**Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements**
**Knowledge & skills**
Knowledge of wine, coffee and alcoholic beverages
Previous experience using Micros and billing systems
The ability to demonstrate and deliver 5 star service and drink preparations
The ability to multi-task and cope with high pressure service situations without compromising standards, productivity, or quality
A willingness to follow WH&S and Responsible Business Practices
Excellent communication skills
An understanding of the cultural sensitivities of our guests
A valid NSW RSA Certificate/Competency Card
Previous experience as a barista is required. Experience in a 5 star hotel environment (Restaurant, Bar, In Room Dining, Banquets) will be viewed extremely favourably.
Fluency in English (both written and verbal) is essential. An additional languages is preferable, but not essential.
