The Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport (CITS) supports Western Australians across creative industries, sport and recreation, tourism and multicultural interests, and major events and infrastructure.
About Sport and Recreation:
The team promotes participation and achievement, supporting healthy lifestyles through physical activity. It leads strategic initiatives for sport and active recreation sectors, focusing on inclusion and accessibility, and works with state, local governments, and community bodies to strengthen regional communities.
About the role:
As a Regional Officer you will develop partnerships with government agencies, local councils, and community groups to deliver quality sport and recreation facilities and services in the Goldfields region. Your duties include regional planning, project management, and representing CITS at local and regional levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate partnerships to enhance facilities and service delivery.
Support management of the Goldfields office, including grant administration.
Contribute to strategies that promote physical activity and develop sport and recreation bodies.
Lead project work related to sport and recreation planning, including Indigenous programs.
Liaise and network with stakeholders at regional and local levels.
