Project Manager EL1
A 12 month engagement with potential extensions is available for a Project Manager EL1.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced project manager to lead a multi-disciplined team in Canberra, with Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth also considered as suitable locations.
Candidates must be Australian citizens with either NV1, NV2 or TSPV security clearance.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide leadership and management of a project team, coordinating activities including strategic planning, governance functions and human resource management.
* Accountable for managing and leading a team, including providing clear communication, setting performance and behavioural standards, managing performance and guiding people's development.
* Responsible for managing schedule, risk, budget and resources, preparing briefings, submissions, reports and returns on project progress and issues.
* Apply established technical, operational and administrative activities, procedures and project management methodologies.
* Identify risks and opportunities, taking them into account in planning, decision making and priority setting.
* Builrd and sustain stakeholder engagement, communicating effectively and negotiating.
* Influence and motivate team members and lead group activities.
* Analyse project performance against agreed plans and develop strategies to achieve project outcomes.
Requirements
* Holds certification in project management or relevant qualifications.
* Minimum 4 years' experience in a project manager role or similar.
* Ability to apply project management methodologies such as PRINCE2.
* Proficiency in using project management tools.
