This is a permanent part-time (0.95 FTE) position commencing Term 1, ****.
Cassia Primary School (PS) is situated on Kariyarra land in the Pilbara Region. The Role
As a Mainstream Education Assistant, the successful applicant will assist in the delivery of planned education programs that will help in the development of young minds, whilst collaborating and working in a team environment.
Our ideal applicant will possess good written, oral and interpersonal communication skills to enable the implementation of individual or small group programs, as well as the ability to support the general health and well-being of students. You will ideally be organised and be able to use your initiative to assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment.
The successful applicant will work under teacher direction in a diverse role. They will also provide support to ensure the learning environment is inclusive and relevant with the health and safety of students being a high priority. Ideally, the successful applicant will have the ability to manage student behaviour in accordance with school policies and programs.
We are looking for applicants who are ideally well organised and able to use initiative to assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment by maintaining equipment, materials and resources, for use in classes. Additionally, they will assist with displays and with cleaning and safe storage of items after classes and activities.

Eligibility
Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start.
Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.

Demonstrated ability to assist with the general health and well-being of students.
