Fire and Safety Industries is a privately-owned Australian Company specialising in the manufacture, supply, and servicing of Fire Suppression Systems. Our head office is in Brisbane, and we have branches and a distributor network across Australia and a growing network globally.
**The Opportunity**:
This 12-month competency-based traineeship leads to a nationally recognised qualification, Certificate II in Fire, CPPFE2027A Inspect, Test and Maintain non - gaseous Pre-engineered Fire Suppression Systems. This opportunity will commence in January 2025 based in our Singleton branch. Our FSI Traineeship Program offers:
- Practical and theoretical training will be provided in our facilities along with "on the job" training by our Technical Trainers, Supervisors, Leading Hands, and other Qualified Technicians
- The opportunity to complete a Certificate II in Asset Maintenance (Fire Protection Equipment)
- Practical Work within the Traineeship
- Provide ongoing routine servicing and unscheduled maintenance of Customer Fire Suppression Systems locally and on mine sites
**Roster, Working Hours & Remuneration**:
- 5 days on and 2 days (weekends) off
- Some opportunities for overtime as required
- Remuneration and benefits package will reflect your experience
**To be successful as an FSI Trainee you will need**:
- To be a local resident of Singleton
- A current NSW Drivers License
- Be at least 18 years old on the 1 June 2024
- To enjoy manual work, using hand tools, a mechanical / technical interest
- Have a strong work ethic, motivated to learn
- A can-do attitude when given unfamiliar tasks
- A mature personality that can work well within a team
