Recovering from the trauma of family violence is a challenging journey that requires compassion, understanding and support. This role plays a vital part in assisting children and young people to heal and move forward with their lives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide specialist psychological services and therapeutic support to children and young people who have experienced family violence trauma.
2. Assist clients to recover from the effects of trauma through developmentally appropriate interventions and therapies.
3. Conduct thorough assessments of children, young people and their families using standardised methods to identify their needs and develop effective treatment plans.
4. Work collaboratively with other professionals to provide comprehensive care and support to clients.
5. Contribute to the development and implementation of programs to address the needs of children and young people affected by family violence.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in human services, particularly in child and adolescent psychology. A Registered Psychologist with relevant clinical experience is essential for this role. The ability to work effectively with diverse populations and adapt to changing circumstances is also highly valued.

Working Conditions
This is a permanent, full-time position working 76 hours per fortnight. Hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant. The successful applicant will contribute to the development and implementation of programs for clients of CHYPP and FVCSS and undertake psychological assessments and interventions.
