Production Planning Specialist
In this role, you will be responsible for driving production success by creating and synchronizing detailed schedules, optimizing capacity and demand, and ensuring safe, efficient, and on-time delivery. You will build strong stakeholder relationships while leading improvement projects and keeping operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:

* Work with supervisors to plan production, considering labor utilization and third-party supply, to meet customer demand and delivery goals
* Create the master schedule and translate it into detailed weekly schedules
* Plan material availability and stock levels to meet customer requirements and expedite where required
* Monitor sales orders and build them into the master production plan daily
* Coordinate information with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure plans meet customer commitments
* Report on output to plan, backlogs, and past due orders, and liaise with operations on variations and areas for improvement
Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Production Management, with five years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
* Experience using inventory/production ERP systems (preferably SAP), ideally in automotive or machinery industries
* Desirable experience in make-to-order and make-to-stock engineering environments
* Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, such as one-piece flow, production leveling, and pull systems
