The Role
Our client, a leading organisation within the Hygiene and Cleaning sector, is seeking a qualified and motivated Service Electrical Technician to join their team on a permanent full‑time basis. This field‑based role involves installing, servicing, and maintaining dosing equipment across customer sites throughout Melbourne.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, technical problem solving, and providing high‑quality customer support.
Key Responsibilities
* Install dosing equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and Australian electrical standards.
* Ensure all installations are performed neatly, professionally, and in compliance with regulations.
* Respond to customer sites to diagnose and repair breakdowns.
* Conduct preventative maintenance to maximise equipment performance.
* Complete workshop repairs on returned or non-operational equipment.
* Submit electronic service reports accurately and on time.
* Follow all workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Report any incidents or compliance issues promptly to management.
* Adhere to safe working practices and ensure PPE is worn at all times.
* Comply with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
* Complete all required paperwork accurately and promptly.
* Maintain a valid driver’s licence.
* Represent the client professionally in all customer interactions.
The Candidate
* A‑Grade Electrical Licence (Victoria) — must have to be considered for this role.
* Experience in servicing, repairing, and installing electrical or technical equipment.
* Knowledge or background in the chemical hygiene or food industry (advantageous).
* Strong communication and customer service skills.
* Intermediate computer skills (Word, Excel, Gmail).
* Ability to travel throughout Victoria and occasionally interstate.
* Comfortable working within a large, matrix-structured organisation.
