Job Overview:
The ideal candidate will have experience working with clients who require support with daily living activities, personal care, and medication management. Our team delivers person-centered services that promote independence, community engagement, and social inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist clients with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, laundry, and housekeeping.
* Provide personal care and support with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
* Develop and implement strategies to enhance clients' independence and participation in community activities.
* Document client progress and maintain accurate records of service delivery.
Requirements:
* Certification: Minimum Certificate IV in Disability Support or a related field.
* Experience: At least 3 years of experience providing support services to individuals with disabilities.
* Manual Handling: Proficiency in manual handling techniques and procedures.
* Medication Administration: Competence in administering medications as prescribed.
* Level 2 Experience: Demonstrated experience working with clients who require Level 2 support needs or above.
* NDIS Knowledge: Familiarity with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and relevant policies.
* Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Reliability: Ability to work flexible hours, including evening and weekend shifts.
