St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne (SVHM) is seeking a motivated and experienced clinician to join our team in the outpatient Lymphoedema Service. As a Lymphoedema Practitioner, you will:
* Deliver excellence in clinical care

Classifications for this position will range from classification ranges dependent on position below:
Grade 2, Physiotherapist: VB1 – VB4 ($90,235.60 - $103,724.30 per annum, pro rata)
Grade 3, Physiotherapist: VB7 – VC1 ($104,135.30 - $118,981.20 per annum, pro rata)
Occupational Therapist: VG3 -VG6 ($104,135.20 - $118,981.20 per annum, pro rata)
About You
You are a dynamic and values-driven Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist who is passionate about client centered care.
Key Requirements:
* AHPRA registered Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist, ALA Accredited
* Grade 2 OT/PT needs to have completed Lymphoedema Practitioner Training
* Grade 3 OT/PT should have Advanced Lymphoedema Practitioner Training (be working towards this) or significant experience in Lymphoedema Management.

LOCAL WORK ENVIRONMENT
St Vincent's Lymphoedema Service is based at the Fitzroy campus. The clinic sits within Specialist Clinics
and is managed by the SVHM Rehabilitation Service and relevant discipline manager.
* POSITION PURPOSE
St Vincent's Lymphoedema Service provides assessment and treatment for patients with lymphoedema. The Gr 2 Lymphoedema Practitioner holds specialist clinical knowledge in the field of lymphoedema therapy and is responsible for assessing complex patients with lymphoedema. The role is accountable to the Gr 4 Lymphoedema Practitioner (Clinic Lead) (operational) and relevant professional chief (professional), andworks in conjunction with the Gr 4 Lymphoedema Practitioner (Clinic Lead) to establish a seamless, integrated service.
POSITION DUTIES
The Gr 2 Lymphoedema Practitioner role is a core part of the multidisciplinary team and will contribute to:
Providing a high standard of client assessment, treatment and coordination of services to patients
in order to facilitate safe, effective, and person-centred care in an outpatient setting
Planning and developing evidence-based lymphoedema treatment pathways in line with SVHM
protocols in order to improve clinical outcomes
Liaising with community-based services relevant to the patient population
Participating in the development of a collaborative inter-professional team approach to achieve
optimal patient care and outcomes
Clinical decision-making and referral triaging where required
* INCUMBENT OBLIGATIONS
General
Perform duties of the position to best of their ability and to a standard acceptable to SVHM
Comply with all SVHM policies, procedures, by laws and directions
Treat others with respect and always behave professionally and in accordance with the SVHM

maintaining the confidentiality of that information once accessed
Participate in the annual SVHM performance review process

Complete annual clinical competencies
Maintain skills and knowledge necessary to safely and skilfully undertake clinical work

Collaborate and clearly communicate with patients/clients and the healthcare team
Participate in clinical risk management and continuous quality improvement activities as part of
day-to-day work

Ensure consumers receive information in an appropriate and accessible format
Actively support consumers to make informed decisions about their treatment and ongoing care
Ensure consumers are aware of their rights responsibilities and how to provide feedback
Health and Safety

Complete required Fire and Emergency Training annually

8.2 Other Essential Requirements
Demonstrated knowledge/skills and significant experience in the provision of Lymphoedema
Therapy including assessment, intervention, case management and discharge planning in the
hospital/community setting.
Experience And Skills In Acute And/or Community Services
Demonstrated experience in the design, implementation, evaluation of quality improvement
activities in line with evidence based practice
Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with supervision of staff and students
Demonstrated commitment to professional development
Competent computer skills
8.3 Other Non Essential Requirements
Computer skills – working knowledge of Windows environment including word processing,
spreadsheet and database.
Evidence of previous involvement in research and conference presentations.

Demonstrated experience in the design of innovative services, implementation, evaluation and
quality improvement activities in line with evidence based practice
Experience in the supervision and professional development of physiotherapists/occupational
therapists, students and support staff.
Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge and commitment to continuous quality improvement
Competent computer skill
