Job Description
In this newly created role, you will lead daily operations and future upgrades of our diesel plant and electrical distribution network. You'll also play a key part in the resort's transition to renewable energy, supporting solar and battery integration projects that power the entire resort community.
This is an ideal position for someone with experience managing diesel generation systems and electrical distribution networks. You'll have the chance to work on infrastructure projects, collaborate with contractors, and provide technical leadership for the resort's renewable-energy transition.
Responsibilities
* Operate and maintain diesel power generation and electrical distribution systems.
* Lead maintenance schedules, high-voltage switching, and system optimisation to ensure safe and reliable power for all facilities.
* Manage infrastructure projects and budgets in collaboration with the Maintenance Manager.
* Provide technical leadership for the resort's renewable-energy transition, including solar PV and battery storage integration.
* Support operational planning to ensure power resilience through the wet season and peak tourism demand.
* Uphold compliance with WHS, NT regulations, and environmental standards.
Requirements
* Degree in Electrical or Power Engineering (or equivalent trade with advanced technical experience).
* Proven experience managing diesel generation systems and electrical distribution networks.
* HV switching and operations competency.
* Budget and project management experience for capital works.
* A proactive, problem-solving mindset and strong communication skills.
