Casual Ferry Operator
Ferrymen NSW are the longest serving and most experienced Vehicular Ferry Operators in Australia.
We have a casual position available to join our team of Ferry Masters operating on the Hastings River, in Port Macquarie NSW. Available hours range from 20-30 per week, with potential to become part-time or full-time in the future if suitable.
The role includes skippering a ferry vessel and transporting customers safely across the Hastings River at Settlement Point and Hibbard. The job is well suited to applicants who work well in a team or unsupervised. Previous experience working in transport, the maritime industry, or with large plant or machinery is necessary.
Applicants should be self-motivated, well presented, and have excellent customer service skills and problem solving abilities. Applicants must be prepared for shift work, including night and weekend work.
Applicants should have, or be ready to obtain, the following qualifications prior to commencing employment:
* Seafarers Medical
* Police Check
* General Boat Licence
* First Aid Certification
* WHS White Card
* Traffic Controller Certification
