About the Position
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Surgical Support Specialist. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the advancement of orthopaedic surgery through the application of cutting-edge robotic technology.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting orthopaedic surgeons in the planning and execution of robotic-assisted hip and knee replacements using Stryker's Mako system.
This position requires a high level of clinical knowledge, technical acumen, and the ability to thrive in the fast-paced environment of the operating theatre.
You will be responsible for providing real-time support during procedures and working closely with surgical teams to optimise patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the in-theatre expert for Mako-assisted procedures, providing technical and clinical guidance to surgeons and theatre staff.
* Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal use of the Mako robotic platform during joint replacement surgeries.
* Conduct pre-operative CT-based planning and segmentation to assist in surgical case preparation.
* Maintain a high level of knowledge in orthopaedic surgical techniques, anatomy, and robotic technology.
* Provide ongoing training and clinical support to hospital staff and surgical teams.
* Travel across Sydney and surrounding areas to support multiple hospital sites.
