Key Responsibilities to Bring Ideas to Life

In this role, you will help bring ideas to life by producing both concept and detailed designs aligned with client needs. You'll use your problem-solving skills to create innovative solutions and collaborate on large, multidisciplinary projects to deliver fully coordinated outcomes.
Safety is a priority, and you'll apply Safe Design principles to your daily tasks. With a strong focus on our South Australian and Victorian based industrial resource, energy, water and defence clients, you'll also have the opportunity work with industrial clients across the country and elsewhere.
Your responsibilities will also include producing, reviewing and verifying engineering design deliverables, such as calculations, specifications, reports, datasheets and bid evaluations, as well as mentoring junior engineers. Additionally, you will provide design support across various areas, including piping and pumped systems, pipelines, hydraulic analysis, mechanical engineering design and analysis, and /or process systems.

To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A relevant mechanical or chemical engineering qualification and eligibility for Chartered status with Engineers Australia
* Detailed mechanical and/ or process design experience, with some design management / supervisory experience preferred
* Experience in one or more of the following: piping and pumped systems, piping and pressure equipment design / stress analysis, pipelines, hydraulic analysis, equipment selection, machine design, mechanical engineering analysis, process simulation.
* Previous industry experience in oil & gas, minerals & metals, industrial process and/or water industry will be well regarded
* Knowledge of engineering design software such as Bentley AutoPipe, Caesar II, Nozzle PRO, WaterGEMS/ Bentley Hammer, Fluid Flow, AFT FATHOM, ANSYS, Aspen HYSYS, Phast, etc. is preferred
