In our Linemarking Division, we have an exciting opportunity for a Labourer Operator to join our team. This hands-on outdoor role offers the chance to develop linemarking machine operation skills and progress towards more machinery operation over time. Initially, you will be involved in general labouring tasks, but the position is designed for someone eager to learn and take on increasing responsibility.
Based in Ulverstone, with local work and travel across Tasmania, this role includes overnight stays, night shifts, and weekend work on some projects. It begins as casual employment, potentially transitioning to full-time after performance review.
This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work, pride themselves in doing a job well, and value being part of a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare surfaces and apply linemarking using machines and stencils
* Maintain tools and equipment
* Operate linemarking machines and equipment
* Follow safety and environmental procedures
* Complete basic job paperwork
* Work independently and as part of a team
Requirements and Qualifications
* White Card (Construction Induction Card)
* Current Manual Driver's Licence
* Physically fit and capable of manual outdoor work
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Reliable and consistent work ethic
* Willingness to work night shifts, weekends, and stay away when required
* Team player with positive attitude and good communication skills
* Understanding of Construction Industry practices
* Knowledge of linemarking machinery and techniques
* Linemarking experience
* Traffic Control and Implementation tickets
* MR or HR truck licence
