**The Prospect**
Our Infection Prevention & Control team is seeking an experienced infection control nurse for a permanent part time position. Reporting to the Infection Prevention Manager, you will join a growing team dedicated to the surveillance, prevention and control program in our high acuity hospital.
- Assist with end to end IPAC processes
- Promote safe, effective Infection control practices
- Coach, guide and educate staff in best practice
- Participate and coordinate case review investigations
**About You**
You will be an experienced Infection Prevention and Control Nurse who has an excellent understanding of IPAC guidelines, standards and requirements for healthcare settings. You will enjoy working in a quick environment, have excellent attention to detail and be a strong advocate for embedding best practice. You will be experienced in influencing staff, managers and VMOs, enjoy the collection and analysis of data and be able to advocate for the highest of standards.
- Hold AHPRA registration (essential)
- have excellent knowledge of IPAC Programs
- have excellent communication skills & a strong desire to partner with internal stakeholders
- strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- sound computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite & database management
- thrive in a hands-on environment
