The School of Nursing, University of Wollongong is identified as a provider of high-quality professional education and contributing to the generation and dissemination of knowledge within a research-intensive university. The Bachelor of Nursing program is offered at six delivery sites including, Wollongong, Liverpool, Sutherland, Shoalhaven, Eurobodalla and Bega Valley. In addition, we have an expansive post graduate portfolio with degrees in Nursing, Mental health, Dementia Care and Health Leadership and Management. The School has an expansive research agenda. Our research agenda has six foci: Clinical Excellence, Mental Health, Ageing, Primary Health, Person-Centred Practice and Teaching and Learning under the leadership of excellent researchers.
We're seeking a passionate and innovative academic to join the School of Nursing in a teaching and research role. You'll contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate subjects through classroom teaching, assessment and the delivery of practical and simulated clinical skills. The role also supports students' workplace experience and includes contributing to research and governance activities within the School.
About You
You're a registered Nurse in Australia with current NMBA recency of practice and strong clinical experience in Australian healthcare settings. You've completed (or will soon submit) your PhD in Nursing or a related field and you're ready to make a meaningful contribution within a collaborative academic environment.
You bring a passion for high quality, innovative teaching, including practical and simulated learning experiences. You're an active researcher who works well in multidisciplinary teams, with a developing record of impactful publications. You're also confident supervising higher degree research students and contributing to strong research outputs.
