This role contributes to the success of the city by ensuring reliable, safe, and user-friendly parking systems. As a Parking Technician, you'll play a key part in keeping our city moving by maintaining and servicing parking technology across on‑street and off‑street locations.
The main goal is to maintain the functionality and reliability of parking equipment to support smooth traffic flow and customer convenience.
You will respond promptly to faults and breakdowns to minimise disruption for the community.
You will also support innovation in parking technology and contribute ideas for system improvements.
Your work must ensure compliance with safety standards and reflect the city's values.
You will provide clear, courteous communication when assisting internal teams and external customers.
About You
* A Certificate III in Electronic Engineering (or similar) and a current driver's licence are required.
* Hands‑on experience maintaining and repairing electronic or mechanical equipment is necessary.
* Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.
* Clear communication skills to interact with colleagues and customers effectively are required.
* A commitment to safety, flexibility to join an on‑call roster, and alignment with the city's values are expected.
