Business Support Officer - Procurement and Contracts

Office of the CEO | Procurement/Contract Management

Permanent | Part-time | 45 hours per fortnight (0.59 FTE)

Premium Recquatic Membership | 13% Superannuation

This position is classified as a PACS Band 5 ($78,485 - $85,493 p.a, pro rata) under the City of Kwinana's structured remuneration system.

What's On Offer

An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and dynamic individual to join the Procurement and Contracts team at the City of Kwinana. This part-time role reports to the Coordinator Procurement and Contracts and involves delivering specialised procurement and contract support services, including compliance monitoring, contract administration, system development, and analytical functions. Your strong analytical skills and attention to detail will ensure adherence to procurement policies and legislative requirements, supporting effective procurement outcomes for the organisation.

What You'll Need

* Experience in procurement, purchasing, contracts administration, or tenders.
* Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail for identifying irregularities and non-compliance.
* Ability to conduct compliance audits and investigations independently with minimal supervision.
* Excellent written communication skills for reports, correspondence, and documentation.
* Interpersonal skills for liaising with suppliers, staff, and stakeholders.
* Initiative and capacity to prioritise workload, manage competing demands, and work autonomously, knowing when to seek guidance.
* Experience managing cyclical processes such as insurances, contract extensions, renewals, and CPI adjustments.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PDF.
* Previous local government experience and familiarity with TechnologyOne software are desirable.
