Coordinator Engineering & Development
About The Role
Maitland City Council has an exciting opportunity within our City Planning directorate for a Coordinator - Engineering & Development.
In this role, you will lead a team of Subdivision and Development Engineers, guiding their daily activities and providing ongoing advice and mentorship in the assessment and approval of engineering plans for subdivision and development applications.
You will drive a culture of continuous improvement proactively identifying opportunities to enhance processes, standards and outcomes across the team. This includes developing and review engineering standards, contribute to land use and transport studies ensuring that best-practice approaches are adopted.
You will provide expert advice to both external and internal stakeholders on development proposals relating to the preparation, submission, and assessment of engineering aspects, ensuring compliance with Council's strategies, policies, and plans.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess degree level qualifications in Civil Engineering and/or equivalent.
You will have extensive contemporary experience in Civil Engineering design/planning, with an emphasis on development assessment and approval, including demonstrated knowledge of engineering plans and subdivision development.
With strong interpersonal skills that inform your leadership style, you will have demonstrated experience in building and leading teams to manage projects that are delivered to a high standard, as well as an ability to forge effective, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Benefits
This is a permanent full-time role, working 35 hours per week with a salary ranging $130,620 up to $144,989 per year based on demonstrated experience + 3.5% civil liability allowance for eligible candidates (Degree qualified) + 12% p.a. super + a private leaseback vehicle.
