Maintaining Building Asset Portfolio
Job Description:
Maintaining our building asset portfolio is a key responsibility in this role.
This position plays a crucial part in the upkeep of our infrastructure, ensuring that our community facilities are safe and well-maintained.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction practices, including a good understanding of safety requirements on site. They will also be able to draw on their technical knowledge to solve problems as part of a working team.
We are seeking someone with excellent time management skills, who can conduct thorough building maintenance inspections and reports via various user-friendly reporting platforms. A construction white card and working at heights certification would be highly advantageous for this role.

Main Responsibilities:
* Carry out minor investigations and assist with maintenance work requests on Council buildings.
* Perform routine maintenance works on furniture and facilities, including carpentry, joinery, cabinet making, painting, glazing, plastering, demolition, and other tasks directed by the supervisor.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Proficient in general construction practices, including safety requirements on the work site.
* Able to draw on technical knowledge to solve work site problems as part of a working team.
* Aptitude in safe storage and handling of materials, tools, and equipment.
* Conducting building maintenance inspections and reports via various user-friendly reporting platforms.
* Construction white card, working at heights.
* Current driver's licence.
* Current Working with Children Check.
