Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) in Brisbane. PDG helps clients reach their business goals through a range of strong technical capabilities. We manage our clients' entire project lifecycle from studies to building assets, operating the assets, and developing efficiencies. As the successful candidate, you will:
* Be involved in preparing discipline design, studies, calculations and documentation to support concept studies, feasibility studies and detail design
* Guide and carry out detailed engineering for supply and construction
* Provide input into capital estimates and project schedules
* Provide key discipline input to multi-discipline project teams
* Participate in formal engineering review processes
* Provision of on-site construction and commissioning technical support
You will bring to the role:
* Excellent attitude towards safety and a demonstrated ability to comply with the safety requirements
* Demonstrated engineering experience in the mining and metals, energy or infrastructure sectors (or similar heavy industries)
* Preparation of project specifications, design reports and other technical documentation as required
* Experience in the investigation, planning and supervision of construction works and/or maintenance activities in operational facilities
* Have experience in performing electrical studies (e.g. load flow, arc fault, protection grading) including the use of power system modelling packages (i.e. SKM PTW, ETAP and PowerCAD); experience in field instrumentation and industrial control systems would also be advantageous
* Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external clients on a technical and interpersonal level
* A degree in electrical engineering and 5+ years of experience with CPEng or equivalent is desired
* Collaborate on exciting projects to develop innovative solutions
