Marine Ecologist Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Marine Ecologist to join our team for a challenging role focused on long-term monitoring of marine ecosystems.
This position involves conducting underwater monitoring field work, data collection and analysis, and producing high-quality peer-reviewed publications. The successful candidate will contribute to the planning, coordination, and execution of fieldwork and be involved in all aspects of reef fish monitoring data.
The role requires excellent interpersonal communication skills, the ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders, and a strong track record of high-quality publications in peer-reviewed journals.
The successful applicant will have a tertiary qualification in marine ecology, extensive work experience in the biology and ecology of reef fishes, and expertise in experimental and survey design, statistical analysis software, and visual surveys along transects.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:
* Tertiary qualification in marine ecology or related field
