The role sits just below Divisional Manager and offers a balance of technical leadership, team guidance, and hands‑on project work
Lead structural design on complex projects, support and mentor engineers, and work directly with clients, architects, and consultants
Influence design decisions, manage technical risk, and contribute to the way projects are planned and delivered
Autonomy with accountability for outcomes and team performance
Performance recognized through clearly defined expectations and measurable KPIs, focusing on quality, collaboration, and delivery rather than hours alone

Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
CPEng, NER, or Engineers Australia registration (or working toward)
Approximately
6-10+ years
experience in structural engineering consulting within Australia
Experience in medium to high-rise residential, commercial, or mixed‑use projects
Strong capability in concrete and steel design
Experience with structural analysis software such as ETABS and RAM
Sound knowledge of Australian Standards and NCC requirementsExperience leading projects, mentoring engineers, and dealing directly with clients and stakeholders
Clear communication skills and a practical approach to design and problem-solving
